Because you deserve all of the details before booking your dream portrait session. Here you will find answers to all of the frequently asked questions and complete transparency from the very beginning.
Do you visit the location before the day of the session?
Yes! I do visit the location if it is local. If your session is in the Victoria or Corpus Christi area, I love visiting the the session location to scout the best spots for lighting, make sure parking is accessible, and plan out your session. For locations farther away, I may not be able to visit in advance, but I thoroughly research the area , use satellite maps, and arrive early to ensure we are fully prepared for your session.
Do you charge a travel fee?
Yes! I love traveling to capture memories! A travel fee applies to all sessions more than 25 minutes outside of Victoria or Corpus Christi city limits. For destinations over two hours away, hotel accommodations and additional travel expenses may also be required. Any travel fees will always be communicated before booking, so you will know exactly what to expect.
What happens if the weather does not cooperate?
Texas weather can be unpredictable and I completely and I completely understand! I typically wait until the day of your session before making any decisions, as the forecast can change quickly. I will stay in close contact with you leading up to the session, and if the weather is not safe or ideal for photos, we will reschedule to the next available date that works for both of us at no additional charge. My goal is to give you the best possible experience and the beautiful photos you deserve!
What if I don't know how to pose?
Absolutely no worries- that's my job! Almost all of my clients tell me they're nervous because they don't know how to pose, and by the end of the session they're saying how easy and fun it was! I'll guide you every step of the way with natural prompts and poses so you never have to wonder what to do with your hands or where to look. My goal is to make you feel comfortable, confident, and like the best version of yourself!
When do Model Team applications come out?
Applications for the Photos by Madi K Model Team open in early June and close early July. Be sure to follow along on my social media so you do not miss out appication announcements, deadlines, and exciting Model Team updates!
